As part of celebrating the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Satbayev, “Kazakhstan Smart Space” international contest was held at Satbayev University
The third “Kazakhstan Smart Space International Contest” was held within the framework of Trizathlon project as a special event of 7th Eurasian Summit of Digital Economy Leaders and II International "Space Technologies and their role in digitalization of the economy’s basic sectors" conference.
Within the framework of the competition, participants develop the applied solutions for the space field of engineering and technology, the best project teams get the opportunity to become part of business projects of the initiative industrial, innovative and scientific degree program "International Space Network Community (MK2C - education - science – entrepreneurship)." The winners get the opportunity to work at AHMP, International Space School - College – University ("Hackspace Engineering and Space School" and in the Baikonur Spaceport project, which involves the creation of an interplanetary spaceport in the vicinity of Baikonur city.
At the same time, not only students take part in the competition - the organizers also support the talented schoolchildren who are interested in scientific creativity and technological entrepreneurship in high technologies sphere. The event includes competitive and creative nominations.
In the final of 2024 competition, more than 80 project teams from 40 educational institutions from different countries were represented.
“Center Credit” Bank became the general sponsor of the competition, and Profland and Inspations companies joined it. The measure was held on the basis of Satbayev University, the organizers also included National Center for Space Research and Technology, “Eurasian Space Ventures” company and “Kazakhstan Institute of Project Management.”
For the first time, Space Week was held in Almaty within the framework of Competition, which included tournaments and master classes, teleconferences of experts, presentations of internships, acceleration degree programs and innovative tasks from partner enterprises of the space industry that complemented the contest program, making it even more vivid and large-scale. Space Week’s apotheosis was a special tournament for Space Cup KZ teams’ captains.
