Best practices come to the fore: Republican Forum of universities’ HR services has begun at Satbayev University
Republican HR Forum of higher and postgraduate education organizations, dedicated to discussing the strategic issues of personnel management, has started working at Satbayev University. Representatives of 35 leading universities and business organizations gathered to exchange best practices, tools and approaches in personnel management sphere.
Forum was opened by Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev, who warmly welcomed the forum participants and stressed that the pleasant atmosphere of creativity and cooperation that the country's first technical university was able to build could become a feature of all universities in Kazakhstan, as University is ready to share its best practices.
Forum speakers highlighted all aspects of transforming the strategy of a modern university and the new role of HR department as University’s business partner in the given process. Industry experts conducted a comprehensive analysis of changes in the labor market, reviewed the latest trends and challenges facing the HR industry.
Special attention was paid to transforming the University strategies in human resources sphere. Forum’s first speaker, PhD in Management, lecturer and director of Strategy and HR Department at Maqsut Narikbayev University, Anara Kussainova, highlighted the important topic "Strategic management in the organization of higher education", shared with the attendees the current problems facing the industry and ways to solve them.
Forum was also attended by HRD Halyk Bank Indira Ashirova, Managing director of HR ALMAU Zhanna Tarenova, head of Psychological Services at Satbayev University Aigerim Suleimenova and other leaders of the industry.
Forum members discussed urgent problems and found the ways to solve them, as well as analyzed business cases and shared their experiences. At the end of the first day, Forum moderator, Azhar Beissova, thanked the speakers and participants for their informative speeches and invited them to an introductory tour of Satbayev University. The second day of Forum was spent in an informal atmosphere at the Shymbulak ski resort, where a team building was organized for the participants.
