As part of the Program of visits to universities that train personnel for road construction, Satbayev University was visited by a delegation of heads of the Committee of Roads of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and major transport and research institutes.

The Deputy Chairman of the Committee of Highways Anar Gabdullina, President of Joint Stock Company “Kazakhstan Road Research Institute” Arman Alibayev, President-Rector of the Academy of Logistics and Transport Saltanat Amirgaliyeva and other well-known figures of education and automotive industry visited the University.

The guests met with the Rector of Satbayev University Meiram Begentayev and discussed the pressing problems of training highly qualified specialists for the construction of highways necessary for the construction of a new logistics hub in Kazakhstan. During the discussion, the guests emphasized the lack of qualified engineering personnel in the road construction industry and the need for a speedy resolution of the issue of allocation of additional targeted educational grants in the direction of training specialists in highway construction. In turn, the Rector of Satbayev University Begentayev Meiram proposed to representatives of educational and scientific institutions to make joint efforts to revise and improve educational programs in the direction of transport construction, to hold meetings with applicants of higher education institutions, as well as to participate in Pre-Masters and Pre-Doctoral programs offered by Satbayev University.

During the visit, the guests visited classrooms and applied laboratories of the Department of Construction and Construction Materials, met with teachers and students, familiarized with the level of training of students and innovative teaching methods.

The visit was an important step towards strengthening partnerships between Satbayev University and key players in the road construction industry, which confirms the high professionalism and potential of Satbayev University in the field of training specialists for highway construction.
