Satbayev University Racing Team is a student organization engaged in the development of the student`s environmental automotive industry, the design and assembly of energy—efficient racing cars, as well as specialized machines for the university. It was founded in 2017.

Participation in Shell Eco-Marathon competitions

Since 2019, the team has been participating and winning the Shell Eco-marathon, an annual international motorcycle marathon. Marathon has been held all over the world since 1939. The participating teams must design and test an energy-efficient car powered by eco-fuel. Team that created the car that drove the maximum number of kilometers on one liter of fuel wins. Marathon record is 3,836 km. Year after year, Satbayev University Racing Team presents its own developments at the marathon - innovative cars with carbon fiber body and steel frame, combining the lightness, strength and incredible efficiency.

The first participation in the Shell Eco-marathon in Singapore and the first experience of creating an eco-efficient car. For its first racing car called the ISU, which reached 370 km per 1 liter of ethanol, the team received "Most beautiful car" award.

Automotive practice from the very first day

We don`t just build cars, we design technologies. From the very first day, students learn practical work from us on real projects that are applied for the needs of the university and the urban community. Students repair electric cars, motorcycles, scooters, work on NPC machines and 3D printers, master the electronics and soldering basics.

Training takes place at leisure at Satbayev University campus.
