The program trains nuclear power plant engineers, specialists in designing sphere, in development and operation of nuclear power plants and other ones that produce, convert and use thermal and nuclear energy, and also, professionals in the field of nuclear reactor management, control of nuclear processes, atomic and uranium engineering as well. The graduates receive a bachelor degree in both engineering and technologies.
Within the framework of the block related to physics and mathematics, students acquire basic knowledge in nuclear and radiation physics; study the basic concepts and methods of analytical geometry and linear algebra, differential and integral calculations, probability theory, and mathematical statistics. In the number of professional subjects learners take classes on nuclear reactors dynamics, fundamentals of dosimeters, automatic control of power units, nuclear processes safety, mending and maintenance of reactor and thermal mechanical equipment at nuclear power plants, radiation monitoring and control equipment as well. Required and obligatory component of training are both regular workshops on various professional tasks and theoretical topics.
The graduates are involved in designing nuclear power plants and other similar plants, at the same time the baccalaureates are busy with operating nuclear power plant equipment, nuclear and thermonuclear facilities for various purposes (for instance, in medicine). The recipients’ work also includes control system, protection, management and automation systems for nuclear power plants and nuclear and radiation safety provision. They work out, design and make high security nuclear fuel cycle facilities.

The baccalaureate work as technicians at the nuclear industry, and they supervise the services of state bodies and the ministry, local services of supervisory bodies, including IAEA, in organizations serving various types of power plants.
