  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

    4. The code in "Study trajectories" column is not necessary to use. It is shown for the convenience and to compare the code of specialties of previous years (until 2019) and the new code of educational programs (“Groups of educational programs” column).

Training in the field of management related to architectural and town-planning projects at district, city and regional level in design organizations, regional and district akimats with BIM-technologies specialization.

Experts in BIM sphere develop engineering systems and networks, urban planning and architectural objects in modern information BIM modeling environment and carry out administrative-management activities in architecture and urban planning organs (design BIM management).

BIM-designing is a fundamentally new approach to design, which means that not just an architect’s elaborations but also the whole group of specialists’ work results are laid into the construction project. A huge array of interrelated data is converted into 3D model and is processed in real time that allows architects and their team to make project decisions at a new level, and radically changes the whole approach to building design.

Future masters receive comprehensive knowledge in developing design and estimate documentation of buildings, landscape and city-planning objects, architectural monuments, their structural and engineering parts. Students learn to solve problems on designing buildings, structures and their complexes by means of modern computer technologies and management, to carry out calculations using the latest methods of processing and interpreting complex information.

You will learn how to apply energy efficient town planning methods in practice, design ‘active’, multi-comfort and ‘smart’ houses, design structures in earthquake-prone areas of the Earth, learn programs such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Dynamo and others.

Satbayev University is the leader of BIM technology in Kazakhstan, the initiator of employing modern information modeling technologies to train future architects, as well as the organizer of  “Digital Kazakhstan: BIM technologies in architecture and construction” first international innovation forum. Most teachers have extensive experience in practical work based on their specialty and are recognized as expert architects.

The program was developed jointly with Advisory Council of Employers under T.K. Bassenov Architecture, Construction and Energy Institute. Internship takes place in leading design organizations of Almaty such as “KAZGOR Project Academy”, “Almatygiprogor” and “Urbostyle” etc. In the process of study, students participate in international competitions, study at universities in Italy, Poland and Malaysia for academic mobility programs.

Graduates receive "Master of Engineering and Technology" degree, the diploma is accompanied by a supplement to the diploma in accordance with European Commission, Europe Council and UNESCO / CEPES standard. The European Diploma Supplement is completed in English upon individual request and is issued free of charge.

Specialists in BIM-technologies sphere are in demand in Architectural field at high-wage and managerial positions, the given specialists work as designers, project work managers.
