How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?
1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.
2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.
3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.
Program is aimed at training the specialists in prospecting, exploration, and evaluation of oil and gas spheres. Training is executed in specialized (industrial) direction.
Program highlights the study of present-day methods of geological research, digital modeling of deposits, interpretation of geophysical and geochemical data, as well as technologies for estimating the hydrocarbon reserves. Special attention is paid to the application of geoinformation systems, 3D modeling of oil-gas systems and the elaboration of effective solutions for field development.
Program examines modern methods of geological modeling, interpretation of geophysical data, geostatistical analysis, assessment and calculation of fossil fuel reserves, geoinformation systems, digital technologies in subsurface use, exploration design, as well as issues of rational development and management of mineral resources.
You will learn how to analyze geological, geophysical and geochemical data, use geographic information systems and create digital 3D models of oil and gas fields, apply modern methods of estimating and calculating hydrocarbon reserves, plan and support exploration work and elaborate new approaches to the search and exploration of oil and gas deposits.
Program graduates are in demand in oil-gas producing and exploration companies, design and engineering organizations, research institutes, government agencies in the field of subsoil use, as well as in expert and consulting organizations. They can work as geologists, field exploration specialists, geological modeling engineers, reserve assessment experts, researchers, exploration project managers, and specialists in the mineral resource management sphere.
