How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?
1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.
2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.
3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.
A training program for specialists in the field of mechatronics and automation, combining knowledge in mechanics, electronics, automation and information technology. It highlights designing, implementing and maintaining the automated control systems in mechanical engineering. It was developed taking into account international standards of engineering education and the best world practices in the field of mechatronics, including the experience of the USA, Germany, Japan and City University of Hong Kong.
Program provides high-quality engineering training in the field of automated and robotic systems, intelligent machine-building production and digital modeling. Students study the principles of operating the programmable logic controllers, automated CAD/CAM/CAE design systems, SCADA process control systems, MATLAB/Simulink modeling, and gain skills in designing and implementing the mechatronic complexes, including the creation of digital twins and the use of artificial intelligence in production process management.
During their studies, students learn how to work in modern engineering software systems, participate in startup projects and research in the field of industrial automation and IoT. Particular attention is paid to evolving the critical and creative thinking, forming the engineering approach and ability to systematically solve practical problems.
You will know the basics of mechatronics, the theory of automatic control, the principles of industrial logistics and production organization, modern approaches to building cyber-physical systems, as well as automation technologies at all stages of the life cycle of machine-building production. Alongside, you will gain skills in integrating the mechanical and electronic components into unified automated systems, working with CNC equipment, and developing solutions at the intersection of engineering and IT. Program builds the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, manage engineering projects, and implement technological innovations.
Lecturers from leading universities and industry experts are invited to give lectures and conduct consultations. Program is implemented considering the needs of the economy’s rea sector and includes current topics of digitalization of production and the transition to Industry 4.0.
Students complete internships at machine-building and automation enterprises, IT companies, and research organizations. Program's partners include companies involved in elaborating and maintaining the automated lines, control systems, and industrial electronics, as well as enterprises in the machine-building, energy, oil-gas, and processing industries.
The best students can get additional education in academic mobility programs at foreign universities such as Tomsk Polytechnic University, Frye University, Lorrain University (France), Institute of Mining Engineering and Technology (China), Miskolc University (Hungary) and others.
Graduates work as mechanical engineers, automation specialists, SCADA system developers, digital design engineers, and service engineers in the robotics sphere. They are in demand in machine-building enterprises, industrial automation companies, energy, oil and gas, processing, transport and logistics sectors, both in Kazakhstan and abroad.
