  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

A two-degree program created jointly with Central Lyon School (Centrale Lyon campus of Saint-Etienne), aimed at training new generation specialists in materials science, mechanical engineering, digital manufacturing and engineering technologies of Industry 4.0. Program combines present-day approaches to design and management of production processes, computer modeling, additive technologies and principles of sustainable development. Particular attention is paid to research and applied activities aimed at elaboration and optimization of high-tech production solutions.

Program combines advanced engineering training with the study of advanced digital tools used in modern industry. Undergraduates master the methods of engineering analysis, modeling and optimization of materials and technological processes, as well as study digital production platforms and Industry 4.0 technologies.

You will study modern materials science and structural materials, mechanics, thermodynamics and physics of materials, additive technologies, powder metallurgy, computer modeling, engineering analysis and digital materials science, as well as surface engineering technologies. You will learn how to develop and optimize contemporary manufacturing processes, perform engineering calculations and computer modeling using FEM and Abaqus software, analyze the structure, properties and behavior of modern materials, evaluate the reliability, wear resistance and durability of engineering products, conduct research and engineering projects (R&D).

Program provides for research, production and design practice, as well as active participation in R&D developments together with industrial partners. Undergraduates work with modern digital platforms, software packages, laboratory equipment for materials analysis and additive manufacturing technologies.

Graduates are in demand in mechanical engineering, metallurgy, oil-gas and aerospace industries, energy, research centers, engineering and IT companies, as well as in digital production centers. They can work as process engineers, design engineers, additive technology specialists, computer modeling engineers, R&D engineers, nondestructive testing specialists, quality and reliability engineers, project managers and teachers of specialized disciplines.
