How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?
1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.
2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.
3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.
The Computational Mechanics and Artificial Intelligence educational program prepares a new generation of engineers capable of developing intelligent digital solutions for industry, science, and high-tech sectors. The program combines the strong engineering tradition of Satbayev University with cutting-edge technologies in artificial intelligence, programming, and computational modeling, preparing highly qualified professionals for the digital transformation of the economy.
The curriculum is built on a solid foundation in mathematics and mechanics, complemented by modern information technology disciplines. Students study mathematical modeling, numerical methods, programming in Python, C++, and C#, algorithms and data structures, machine learning, data analytics, computer vision, robotics, and digital twin technologies. This interdisciplinary approach enables graduates to understand complex physical processes and develop software solutions for their simulation, analysis, and optimization.
The program emphasizes hands-on learning through real engineering challenges. Students work on practical projects, master modern engineering software and AI tools, participate in departmental research projects, and complete internships at leading industrial enterprises and IT companies. This allows them to gain valuable professional experience and build a strong project portfolio before graduation.
Graduates are equipped to develop intelligent engineering systems, digital twins, and software for simulation and automation, while applying artificial intelligence to data analysis and process optimization. They are highly востребованы in mechanical engineering, energy, oil and gas, robotics, the IT industry, research organizations, and digitally transformed manufacturing enterprises.
The program is delivered by faculty members actively involved in research and industrial projects in collaboration with national and international partners. Students are engaged in research from the early years of study, providing an excellent foundation for continuing their education at the master's and doctoral levels or pursuing careers as AI Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Simulation Engineers, Digital Twin Developers, Robotics Engineers, and Software Developers.
