Awarding the winners of the national industry competition ”Golden Hephaestus-2018”
On June 19, Astana hosted the presentation of awards to the winners of The Golden Hephaestus competition. The best in the MMC sector were chosen in 14 nominations. This year, the international status of the award was of particular importance, as the winners of the Republican industry competition "Golden Hephaestus-2018" were honored at the opening ceremony of the 25th world mining Congress-the main event of the industry at the global level.
The winner in the nomination "Scientist-teacher of the year of mining and metallurgical industry" was Marzhan Baysanovna Nurpeisova, Professor of Satbayev University, doctor of technical Sciences, teacher with more than 56 years of teaching experience.
More than 20 leading representatives of the profession competed for the title of" Geologist of the year". Nikolay Ilyich Lysenko, chief geologist of the Oryol production complex Of vostoktsvetmet LLP, was recognized as the best.
In the nomination "miner of the year" the leader was Sairan Sultanovich Amenov, Executive Director of Kazakhmys Corporation LLP, an expert with almost 30 years of experience in mining.
The title "Metallurgist of the year" was awarded to Arnur Aidarkhanov, chief technologist of LLP "Tau-Ken Altyn" - for the successful implementation of such innovative technologies as slag recycling and oxidative melting using enriched blast.
The presentation of prestigious awards following the results of the now traditional competition "Golden Hephaestus", which was held for the 9th time, is a significant event for the Republic. This was made possible thanks to the full support of the Ministry of investment and development and the main partner of the event – the Eurasian Group (ERG).
