Training program for nuclear power plant engineers, specialists in designing, creating and operating nuclear power plants and other nuclear power plants that generate, convert and use thermal and nuclear energy. Graduates receive “Bachelor of Engineering and Technology” degree.

Within the framework of physics-mathematics block, students acquire basic knowledge in physics and nuclear energy, theory of nuclear reactions, study modern nuclear technologies, experimental methods of nuclear energy, nuclear technologies and their application, nuclear safety and nuclear waste storage technologies, as well as computer methods in nuclear energy and current problems of nuclear energy in RK. Senior courses students have the opportunity to study at the world's leading universities as part of academic mobility program.

Graduates work in the nuclear power industry, which will become one of the symbols of ecological society of the future as an industry capable of ensuring stable electricity prices and minimal environmental impact. One of the principal potential employers is “Kazatomprom” company. Another area of work is medicine, where engineers use nuclear technology to treat cancer.

Graduates work as technical specialists at nuclear industry enterprises, in physics, in radioecology, and in nuclear medicine. They maintain nuclear reactors and installations, monitor safety at nuclear power plants, monitor the operation of medical installations in hospitals, and institutes, such as “Radiation Safety and Ecology Institute” and “RK Nuclear Physics Institute.”
