  • How to fill in the application to participate in state grant contest?

    1. Before applying, select your favorite educational program at Satbayev University, corresponding to the relevant subjects in which you passed UNT.

    2. Write down for yourself the code (column “Groups of educational programs” in the table) of the group of educational programs that includes the program you have chosen.

    3. Indicate the group code and code of Satbayev University (Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev) in the application for a grant: 029.

    4. The code in "Study trajectories" column is not necessary to use. It is shown for the convenience and to compare the code of specialties of previous years (until 2019) and the new code of educational programs (“Groups of educational programs” column).

Training of highly qualified specialists in the field of modern materials science for developing modern high technologies and introduction of new materials and coatings for various purposes into production. Strategic priority for the growth of science, technology and engineering.

Graduates receive Academic Master's degree in engineering and technology for 1.5 years of study or Master of technical sciences for 2 years.

You will gain knowledge in the field of elaboration, research, modification and use of materials of inorganic and organic nature for various purposes, processes for obtaining materials, blanks, parts and products, as well as their quality management for various fields of engineering and technology.

You will be able to carry out experimental and research work on studying structure and properties of materials, develop new materials with specified technological and functional properties as applied to assigned tasks’ solution and carry out production, technological and organizational work at industrial enterprises.

Students will gain practical skills in 30 specialized laboratories furnished with modern equipment and instruments, computer equipment and software. Training uses the latest computer-aided design systems of international level, such as ADEM, SolidWorks, Autodesk and Compass 3D, MSC Nastran, Comsol Multiphysics and APM Win Machine.

The institute interacts with many foreign technical universities and maintains contacts with professors from TFH University Georg Agricola (Germany), Pennsylvania State University, University of Loraine, AGH China) and others. Students have international practice at technical universities around the world.

Graduates are in demand in engineering and transport industries, at enterprises for manufacturing functional, metallic and nanoscale materials, in design bureaus, and research institutes, they occupy senior positions in state structures.
