Doctoral students are actively involved in research projects under the guidance of foreign consultants. Plans for doctoral studies include the mandatory internship at leading foreign universities. The preparation and defense of the thesis carried out under the guidance of two scientific leaders, domestic and foreign.
Doctoral students pass their scientific internships at the Colorado School of Mines (USA), Freie University (Germany), Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia), Moscow State University after M.V. Lomonosov (RF), Lorraine University (France), Institute of Mining Engineering and Technology (China).
Doctoral students undergo internships in the best domestic and international companies, including Schlumberger, Chevron, KazMunaiGas, Rosneft, Lukoil, Eni, CNPC, ExxonMobil, Total, Royal Dutch Shell, Maersk Oil. Some graduates work and get experience in international locations from the UAE to the North Sea.
Graduates work in the field of mining and services for mining companies, research and consulting, as well as teachers, researchers in research centers, universities, national and private companies and other organizations conducting research, design and educational activities in various sectors of the economy.
