Innovative educational program trains personnel focused on scientific, experimental research, teaching activities in design, construction and operation of industrial and civil facilities, building materials and products that are in demand, as well as woodworking and the latest production technologies for building materials, products and structures.

Graduates are awarded PhD academic degree, Diploma is accompanied by a supplement to the diploma in accordance with European Commission, Europe Council and UNESCO / CEPES standard.  European Diploma Supplement is completed in English upon individual request and is issued free of charge.

The subject of professional activity is development of modern high technology and introduction of new materials and coatings for various purposes, designing enterprises of building materials, as well as buildings for construction, oil, gas and transport economy sectors. Strategic priority for science, technology and engineering development.

You will gain knowledge in the field of elaboration, research, modification and materials use relating inorganic and organic nature for various purposes, processes of obtaining materials, blanks, parts and products, as well as their quality management for various engineering and technology areas.

You will be able to carry out experimental and research work on studying structure and properties of materials, develop new materials with specified technological and functional properties as applied to the assigned tasks’ solution, carry out production, technological and organizational work at industrial enterprises.

Doctoral students are actively involved in research projects under foreign consultants’ guidance. Plans for doctoral studies include mandatory internship at leading foreign universities. Two scientific advisors, a national and a foreign one, supervise dissertation work and its defense.

Future professions: flaw detector, chemical and spectral analysis engineer for materials, electron microscopy engineer, materials and coatings test engineer, materials engineer. Graduates also work as teachers, researchers at testing and development centers, universities, in national and private companies, and other organizations conducting research, design and educational activities in the fields of economics and construction.
