A lecture on topical issues of green construction was held at Satbayev University
On December 1, a lecture on topical issues of green construction was held at Satbayev University, organized by the Kazakh Academic Center of the International Academy of Architecture KazIAAM-Eurasia and the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The speaker was Konstantin Popov, accredited specialist of LEED Green Associate, co-founder and executive director of the international company "EST Group". It is a leading company in the field of environmental and energy-efficient certification according to LEED, BREEAM and WELL standards in the CIS, which is actively engaged in energy and mathematical modeling of energy-saving technologies.
The expert spoke in detail about international certification systems and types of modeling and shared important facts about the development of the energy efficiency trend in Kazakhstan. For example, in Kazakhstan over the past 5 years, 18 projects have been implemented according to the LEED standard and 12 projects according to the BREEAM standard. The lecture was full of practical cases of projects implemented in Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
In the conditions of active relocation of foreign companies to Kazakhstan, the trend of green construction is gaining a new round of development as foreign companies pay special attention to the microclimate of premises, giving priority to buildings and structures that have passed the international environmental assessment of the effectiveness of buildings in order to improve the quality of life of their employees.
