Another victory of Satbayev University students at the national stage of the international competition for the design of multicomfort buildings ISOVER
April 01, 2022, in the fireplace hall of the KAZGOR design academy, the national final of the annual Architectural Student Competition from Saint-Gobain Isover was held. First organized in Serbia in 2004, it acquired international status already in 2005. More than 2,800 students from 38 countries took part in the last competition in Paris.
Representatives of Satbayev University - 4th-year students under the guidance of senior lecturer of the Department of Architecture Yaskevich Vladimir – successfully presented their projects. As a result:
- Sharipova Venera and Erkinbekkyzy Nurayym took 1st place and will represent Kazakhstan at the international final in Warsaw;
- Alibek Alisher and Alchinbayeva Madina received a prize in the nomination "Green Architecture";
- Iskakova Renata and Tanzharykova Botagoz - a special prize from the design academy KAZGOR;
- Abdigaliyeva Nurilya and Svankulova Dana - a prize in the nomination "Students' Choice".
The competition promotes sustainable approaches in architectural design and, in particular, the concept of "Multicomfort" - a combination of visual, thermal, acoustic comfort and air quality, encourages the use of innovative technological solutions and original ideas. The challenge for the competition was to develop a project for the modernization of the district located next to the Warszawa Wschodnia railway station, based on a combination of social activity zones and residential areas. Because of the strict preliminary selection, only seven teams joined the final, representing Satbayev University, EKSTU named after A.I. D. Serikbaeva, KazGASA. Support in the organization of the national stage was provided by the design academy KAZGOR and the Union of Architects of Kazakhstan.
