Applications for the contest to study at Satbayev University Military Department 2024 are open

In the period from July 15 to July 25, 2024 at Institute of Military Affairs (Military Department) at NPJSC “KazNRTU named after K.I. Satpayev” is conducting a competitive selection of candidate students for training in the programs of reserve officers and sergeants. Students who have submitted applications and medical examination cards will undergo professional psychological testing and physical fitness checks. Professional psychological testing will be carried out on the basis of Military Department according to the schedule.

Candidates who have passed professional psychological testing are allowed to the next stage - passing the standards for physical training. Passing each stage of the competition is allowed once.

Professional psychological testing will be carried out at the address: 140 Baitursynov str., Almaty (Military Affairs Institute’s building (Military Department) according to the schedule.

Physical fitness testing will be carried out at Narxoz University stadium at the address: Almaty, 10 micro district, Yuri Kim str., 9 according to the schedule.

A student who does not agree with the contest stages results, on the same day, submits a written application (in any form) to Selection Committee’s Chairperson.

Note:

                1. On the appointed day, according to the schedule, arrive at Institute of Military Affairs (Military Department) NPJSC "Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satpayev" at 8.00 am at the address:

140 Baitursynov str.

                 2. Have an identity card and a student ID card with you.

        3. To pass the standards for physical training, have a sports uniform (sneakers) with you.

on the procedure for candidates to pass physical fitness standards

DEAR CANDIDATES!

You will have to go through the third stage of the competitive selection – passing the standards for physical fitness.

Physical fitness standards will be adopted in accordance with the following standards:

*Standards for physical education for male students

*Standards for physical education for female students

Note: When calculating the total number of points, the "unsatisfactory" score is counted as zero points. Each standard for physical fitness is assessed individually. The total score for physical fitness is derived by summing up the scores for three exercises. When calculating the total score, "unsatisfactory" score is considered as zero points.

For further participation of the candidate in the competitive selection, it is necessary to score a total physical fitness score of at least 9 points. A candidate with a total physical fitness score of less than 9 points is not allowed to proceed to the next stage.

The results of the stage are communicated to the candidates immediately after its completion.

Retaking physical fitness standards is PROHIBITED, so we recommend that you follow the following instructions:

1. Listen carefully to the examiners’ explanation, assessment indicators for standards, and safety measures.

2. If at the time of passing the standards you have complaints about your health condition, inform the examiners about it.

3. Choose a comfortable sportswear for yourself.

4. Before passing the standards, do a sports warm-up.

5. After reviewing the results of the stage, you need to subscribe to the statement.

on the procedure for candidates to undergo the psychological testing

DEAR CANDIDATES!

You will face the first serious test - passing a psychological test. Psychological testing is primarily aimed at determining the degree of compliance of your moral and business qualities with the military profession. The level of your reserve capabilities and professional and personal potential is also determined.

The given psychological testing will take place on a computer. The duration of the test is no more than 60 minutes. At the end of the test, the results will be automatically displayed on the display screen.

 ATTENTION!

YOU WILL HAVE THE ONLY OPPORTUNITY in passing the test.

To successfully complete the psychological test, follow these instructions:

1. It is forbidden to bring mobile phones, pens, and pencils into the classroom where testing will be conducted.

2. Listen carefully to the explanation of the person responsible for conducting the psychological testing. You are not allowed to ask questions during testing.

3. Do not take part in the testing if you have health complaints. Inform the person responsible for conducting psychological testing in advance during the survey, which will be conducted before the start of testing.

4. Choose a convenient testing language - Kazakh or Russian. Make an appropriate note in the statement at the direction of the person responsible for conducting the psychological testing.

5. Fill in your personal data carefully.

6. Answer questions only after carefully reading and understanding the instructions.

7. Be extremely careful, because when you move to the next statement, you will not have the opportunity to return to the previous one.

8. Answer as sincerely as possible, give the natural answer that comes to your mind first.

9. Remember that there are no "good" or "bad" answers.

10. During testing, it is FORBIDDEN to leave the classroom, talk, read aloud and comment on tests, use cell phones and other means of communication, look at the screen of neighboring computers.

11. After "Save result" sign appears on the computer screen, you need to raise your hand and wait for the person responsible for conducting the psychological testing to come to you to save the results. If the person responsible for conducting the psychological testing is busy with another applicant, wait until they are free. At the same time, it is FORBIDDEN to perform any actions with the computer (independently open the test results, close the dialog box, turn off the computer, etc.).

12. After reviewing the test result, you and a representative from among the observers must sign the statement.

IN CASE OF VIOLATING THESE RULES, YOU ARE AUTOMATICALLY CONSIDERED NOT TO HAVE PASSED THIS STAGE OF ADMISSION

EVALUATION OF TEST RESULTS

1. The test result "Not recommended" means that you have not passed this stage of selection and are not allowed to the next stage.

2. In case of receiving a positive result (recommended in the first place – 100 points, recommended in the second place – 75 points; recommended – 50 points) You are considered to have passed this stage of selection.

The results of computer psychological testing are not subject to appeal and are not commented on, as they reflect the individual characteristics of the applicant.
