Arsen Tomsky and Satbayev University’s Rector signed an agreement on creating the inVision U

Satbayev University and Arsen Tomsky are creating the inVision U Faculty, which will provide free higher education for talented school graduates from Kazakhstan and Central Asia. All students will study for free, and low-income students will have the opportunity not only to study for free, but also receive a scholarship for accommodation and meals.

In September 2024, at the meeting with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, the head of InDrive proposed opening inVision U University for 400 students, where specialists in IT, marketing and media, science, and other fields will be trained. To implement the given project, an autonomous invasion U faculty will be established at Satbayev University Institute of Project Management. It will train future leaders in the social sphere and business. The training will be based on the interdisciplinary approach, project work and solving current problems of society.

As a platform that provides equal access to opportunities for people around the world, including residents of small towns and rural areas, InDrive strives to support the sustainable development of communities. By investing in education, we help young talents reach their potential so that they can not only build their future, but also solve key problems in their communities, contributing to their development and prosperity.

The program is scheduled to start in September 2025. The first year of study will begin with the preparatory cycle of disciplines (Foundation), in which students will be able to gain critical thinking and analysis skills, as well as gain advanced knowledge in English, mathematics and IT.

“We are pleased to launch this project together with Satbayev University, a leading engineering university in Central Asia. Their technology, strong teaching staff and convenient location in Almaty, combined with our creative approach and young team, will make learning even more effective,” said Arsen Tomsky, founder of InDrive program and CEO.

Instead of traditional lectures, invasion U focuses on practical projects and teamwork. Students of the program will develop solutions to real local and regional problems, and after completing their studies, they will receive support and mentoring to launch business and social initiatives. At the same time, they can work in their communities, which will allow them to retain talent within the country.

Rector of Satbayev University Meiram Begentayev noted: “As a research university, it is very important for us to provide our students with the opportunity to prove themselves in innovative industries aimed at the future. Our students study in dual degree programs at PennState and CityU, study logistics and railway engineering in China, and complete dual training programs at factories throughout Kazakhstan, so that our students can continue the leadership traditions laid down by many generations of Satbayev University."

The inVision U program combines free training, mentoring, and hands-on education. Support for students will continue after graduation through assistance in launching the startups and social initiatives.

The training at inVision U will be conducted in three languages - English, Kazakh and Russian.

Andrew Wachtel, President of inVision U, added: “Collaboration with Satbayev University creates a unique synergy - combining the academic expertise and innovative teaching methods gives students access to cutting-edge knowledge and skills. The invasion U curriculum covers five interrelated areas: Science, Technology, Society, Marketing and Media, and Public Administration. Our students not only learn how to solve problems, but also work in interdisciplinary teams, developing both the professional and flexible skills needed to create sustainable solutions.”

Applications for Foundation Program, which starts on September 1, 2025, will begin on May 1 and last until August 1, 2025. Undergraduate Program will begin on September 1, 2026. Information about the deadline for submitting the applications will be published later. More detailed information is available on inVision U website.
