Chinese Northwestern Petroleum University’s representatives visited Satbayev University on an official visit

The given visit was the first event of mutual business exchange, launched on the basis of Memorandum signed by both sides in December 2022.

The meeting was attended by two universities’ heads, namely: Mr. Fu Xiaofei, Secretary of Communist Party of China Northwestern Petroleum University, Mr. Yang Erlong, Director of Oil-gas problems Institute of the given University, Mr. Sun Yu, Deputy director of Earth Research Institute of Chinese Northwestern Petroleum University, Mr. Sun Yu, Director of International Relations Department, Head Mr. Feng Jianwei, PhD, associate professor Mr. Zhou Xiaofei, as well as Yerzhan Kuldeyev, Vice-Rector for Science and Corporate Development at Satbayev University, and Askar Syzdykov, Director of K. Turussov Institute of geology and oil-gas engineering, and other prominent representatives.

During the event, issues related to developing the academic and scientific ties, the opening of double degree programs, joint scientific research and mutual exchange of students and research groups were discussed.

In addition, in the future, Satbayev University and China Northwestern Petroleum University are planning to open International Research Center.
