Delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic studied the experience of Satbayev University in building an international center for scientific and educational innovations

Kyrgyz Republic delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of Ministers’ Cabinet of the Kyrgyz Republic Edil Baissalov and Vice Minister of RK Science and Higher Education Talgat Yeshenkulov visited Satbayev University to get acquainted with the work of foreign branches based on Kazakhstani universities, infrastructure, science and scientific projects of Kazakhstan’s first technical university.

The guests visited University's  key scientific and educational departments, such as Innovative Engineering Center of MMB, Stroytech Technology Park, International R&D Center for advanced functional materials and their composites, as well as Porsche and Astana Motors classrooms. More attention was paid to the branch of City University of Hong Kong and MIT FabLab production laboratory, unique branches of the world's leading universities that allow Satbayev University students to study according to international standards, work with advanced technologies and participate in global research projects.

During the visit, the delegation got acquainted with modern approaches to learning, the integration of science into the educational process and possibilities of the university ecosystem for evolving the startups. Kyrgyz Republic representatives noted the high level of technical equipment of laboratories and classrooms, a practice-oriented approach that helps students master modern technologies in real conditions, as well as the potential of Satbayev University as an international engineering training center.

The visit took place as part of participating of the Kyrgyz delegation in UNICEF conference "Generation 2050: Investing in tomorrow today" and became an important step in strengthening the cooperation between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in the science, education and innovation sphere.
