"Densaulyk-2026" traditional sports contest started at Satbayev University

"Densaulyk-2026" traditional spartakiad among university employees, organized by Physical Culture Department in cooperation with Trade union committee, has begun at Satbayev University. The competitions were held in support of the Message of Republic of Kazakhstan President to the people "Kazakhstan – 2050", in which special attention is paid to strengthening the nation’s health, development of physical culture and sports.

National teams of Institutes, Rector's office and Satbayev University’s departments took part in the competition. Program includes sports such as chess, table tennis, volleyball and mini-football. Participants can compete in several sports at once, which made it possible to expand engagement and make competitions more dynamic and spectacular. The total prize fund was 600 thousand tenge.

"For us, “Densaulyk” sports contest is not just a competition, but an opportunity to show that human development is not limited to classrooms and laboratories," said Talap Imataliyev, Physical Culture Department’s head. “Sport traditionally strengthens the body, but the technical university begins with thought, so we are opening the games with chess - it is a sport of the mind. And we conclude the program with the most favorite sport, football, which is our heart. It is only in the harmony of thought, body and heart that a truly comprehensively developed personality is formed," noted the contest organizers.

Holding the “Densaulyk-2026” Spartakiad became an important event in the life of Satbayev University and clearly demonstrated the university's desire to create a favorable and healthy environment for its employees, supporting their health and well-being, forming a culture of active lifestyle and strengthening the health of employees as the basis for University’s sustainable development.
