From recycling to art: "Trash vs. Arts" campaign was held at Satbayev University
Satbayev University hosted the environmental "Trash vs. Arts" campaign in which students create sculptures from plastic waste, demonstrating that even unnecessary plastic can be turned into creativity and inspiration for a conscious future. The event is part of "Taza Kazakhstan" republican initiative, aimed at creating an ecological culture, the growth of separate garbage collection and responsible attitude to the environment.
The environmental field is actively evolving at Satbayev University: a student eco-hub is operating at the university, where young people learn the practices of sustainable development and recycling. It was here that during the campaign, students turned plastic into jewelry, souvenirs and key rings, clearly showing how waste can get a second life.
And at the beginning of the academic year, the university hosted "EcoRebellion Day: Trash into Trend" campaign, where students created art objects and fashionable items out of plastic, the best of which decorated the campus and received attention on social networks. This is how the university becomes a platform for environmental initiatives and formation of responsible consumption culture among future engineers and researchers.
