In honor of 180th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev, Satbayev University students sang "Kozimnin karassy" at “Student Dedication” ceremony

Satbayev University hosted a traditional “Student Dedication”, one of the most exciting events of the academic year beginning. During the ceremony, the students celebrated a significant date – 180 years since the birth of the great Kazakh poet, thinker and educator Abai Kunanbayev. In honor of the anniversary, 5,000 university students performed his famous "Kozimnin Karassy" song together.

The song based on Abai's poems occupies a special place in Kazakh culture. It reflects sincere feelings, love and spiritual depth, and the name itself - "The light of my eyes" symbolizes tenderness and affection. The flash mob became one of the most touching moments of the given event and emphasized the continuity of generations connecting the tradition and modernity.
