Invitation to the II Stage of the Republican Subject Olympiad in Mechanical Engineering

We invite 3rd–4th year students of universities in Kazakhstan who have successfully passed the (intra-university) selection to participate in the II stage of the XVIII Republican Subject Olympiad in the field of “Mechanics and Metalworking (Mechanical Engineering)”. The Olympiad will be held on May 5–6, 2026 at Satbayev University.

Up to 3 students (3rd and 4th year) from each university may participate in the Olympiad. Participants must carry a valid ID. The Olympiad will be conducted strictly in an individual format; team participation is not предусмотрено and will not be evaluated. The working languages of the Olympiad are Kazakh and Russian.

The Olympiad consists of two stages:

1. Testing;
2. Solving theoretical and practical (case-based, laboratory) tasks.

May 5, 2026 – Opening ceremony of the Olympiad; проведения of the 1st and 2nd rounds.

May 6, 2026 – Awarding of winners; closing ceremony.

Based on the results of the first (intra-university) stage, participants must send the following documents to the organizing committee at a.uderbayeva@satbayev.university no later than April 15, 2026:

• scanned letter signed by the Rector (or Vice-Rector) summarizing the results of the I stage, or a decision of the Academic Council recommending participation in the II stage;
• scanned application form (in Word format);
• scanned copy of the participant’s ID/passport.
