Our Pride: Satbayev University Staff Member Dinara Baskanbayeva — "Female inventor"!

The results of the Republican Competition of Achievements in the Field of Inventiveness "Shapağat-2025" became known on November 13, 2025.

We are immensely proud to announce that Dinara D. Baskanbayeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment at Satbayev University (KazNITU), has been declared the winner in the prestigious "Woman Inventor" nomination!

This high award was granted for her outstanding achievements in the field of hydroenergetics. The Commission specifically noted her inventions:

• "Hybrid solar-hydrogen electrolyzer"
• "Hydroelectric energy system for electricity generation"

Contribution to Science and Innovation

Dr. Baskanbayeva's victory is a natural result of her long-standing productive work. She is the co-author of 10 patents of the Republic of Kazakhstan and 2 EAPO patents, making her one of the most active inventors at the university.

As an experienced scientist, Dinara Baskanbayeva holds a PhD in Mining Engineering and has authored over 60 scientific publications, including 19 articles in high-ranking journals indexed in Scopus (Q1, Q2) and Web of Science databases. Her scholarly authority is supported by a high H-index: 11 (Scopus) and 4 (Web of Science).

She has served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Technological Machines and Equipment since 2024. Over the past three years, she has successfully supervised and graduated 3 Doctors of Philosophy (PhD) and 2 Masters of Technical Sciences, demonstrating her significant contribution to training the next generation of researchers.

The official award ceremony for the winners of the "Shapağat-2025" competition, where Dinara Baskanbayeva received her well-deserved recognition and award, successfully took place on December 5, 2025.
