Satbayev University and DMG MORI Academy German company signed Memorandum of understanding
Satbayev University and DMG MORI Academy have started cooperation in the field of industrial engineering education and advanced machining processes. The signing ceremony of Memorandum was attended by Satbayev University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev and CEO of DMG MORI AKTIENGESELLSCHAFT Alfred Geisler.
DMG MORI Group of Companies is a leading global manufacturer of high-tech metalworking equipment specializing in elaborating the CNC machines, as well as milling, turning, ultrasonic and laser processing technologies. The company offers a wide range of products in the field of production automation for aerospace, automotive, medical and other industries and supports Industry 4.0. concept.
The company combines both German and Japanese industrial expertise and spreads its accumulated experience to the whole world through innovative courses offered by DMG MORI Academy, a world leader in the field of training professional personnel for mechanical engineering. The experience gained by Academy in the field of mechanical engineering, automation and digital solutions will help Kazakhstan to increase the level of industrialization and inspire young people to develop the engineering skills.
To achieve this goal, Satbayev University made a decision to apply its fundamental principle - "learning through research". Within the framework of cooperation with DMG MORI Academy, DMG MORI educational center will be created at University, where training will be conducted on working with CNC machines, CELOS software, as well as on servicing the company's products. DMG MORI Academy will be a partner of the given project.
Moreover, a training program will be developed that will allow students and university staff to improve their skills in the field of advanced mechanical processing of materials. University expects that traditional German quality and Japanese precision and accuracy will play a significant role in advancing the culture of high-tech engineering solutions.
After signing the Memorandum, Satbayev University’s delegation visited DMG MORI Academy and Gildemeister plant, where they got acquainted with the equipment operation and took part in the discussion of future work.
