Satbayev University and East China University of Technology discussed academic and scientific collaboration

Samgat Yermekbayev, First Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development at Satbayev University, met with the delegation from East China University of Technology (ECUT) led by President Luo Xianping to discuss future academic and scientific cooperation between the two leading Asian technical universities.

During the meeting, the parties agreed to combine Universities’ potential to study geological sciences and develop scientific and technical solutions, opening up wide opportunities for introducing the innovations into industry. In addition, special attention was paid to evolving the interdisciplinary projects as well as academic mobility, the execution of joint degree programs, the training of scientific personnel and technology transfer to industry.

East China University of Technology (ECUT) is a state-owned Chinese university located in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. It was founded in 1952 and initially specialized in the nuclear industry and geological resources. Today, ECUT is a large comprehensive university covering Earth sciences, engineering disciplines, economics, management and other areas. ECUT participates in many national programs in China, including "211 Project", "985 Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform", which confirms the high level of teaching and research within its walls. The agreement with the given university opens up new opportunities for Satbayev University for joint research, publications and participation in international scientific projects, strengthening the positions of both sides in the global academic space.
