Satbayev University and Schneider Electric are expanding partnership and are joining the forces in automation field

Satbayev University and Schneider Electric have signed a memorandum of cooperation, opening a new stage of strategic partnership in engineering education and digital technologies sphere. The document was signed by University’s Rector, Professor Meiram Begentayev, and Edgar Bu Shaheen, CEO of Schneider Electric for Central Asia and the Caucasus.
The memorandum signing was part of opening the new Schneider Electric Industrial Automation Laboratory, established at Satbayev University Automation and Control Department. The laboratory will be a continuation of the long-term cooperation between the university and Schneider Electric. Previously, the partnership was developing in the field of energy, now it covers industrial automation as well.
The updated format of cooperation focuses on the close relationship between education and industry, as well as on forming the practical skills among students that are in demand in the digital economy.
"Cooperation with Schneider Electric gives us the opportunity to flexibly adapt educational trajectories to the industry requirements," said Meiram Begentayev, Rector of Satbayev University. - We are consistently building an ecosystem where students become part of real production processes from day one. This is our contribution to the growth of competitive and sustainable economy in the country."
The collaboration also includes joint work on updating the degree programs, implementing the scientific and applied projects, organizing the internships, improving the skills of teachers and integrating modern technological solutions into the educational process.
