Satbayev University has made a breakthrough in the QS World University Rankings by Subject

Satbayev University has turned its ambitions into reality by achieving an excellent position in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024. The University announces its outstanding achievements in this authoritative ranking.

In the current QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024, two areas of study at Satbayev University have been included in the top 100 of the world ranking. This result is the best among Kazakhstani universities. The total number of universities participating in the ranking amounted to 1,561 from 161 countries. The British agency Quacquarelli Symonds evaluated the quality of teaching and research in universities around the world.

April 10, the results of the subject rating QS World University Rankings by Subjects 2024 were published. The leading technical university of Kazakhstan not only strengthened its position, but also expanded its representation, getting into the list of the best universities in 11 areas, compared to five areas of the previous year. In three categories (Engineering&Technology; Natural Sciences; Arts&Humanities), 11 Satbayev University subjects were included.

Satbayev University demonstrated record achievements among Kazakhstani universities, making it to the top 100 in two subjects: "Data Science&Artificial Intelligence" (51-70th place) and "Modern Languages" (73rd place). These results were achieved due to significant improvements in research citation rates, as well as academic and employer reputation.

In addition, Satbayev University entered the top 200 of the world ranking in the subjects "Petroleum Engineering" (101-150th place) and "Art&Design" (101-150th place). In many areas, the university improved its results compared to last year, rising fifty positions.

QS World University Rankings by Subject 2024 is an authoritative global ranking that assesses the world's leading universities in specific subjects. It is based on an assessment of a university's reputation among academic experts and employers, as well as on the number of research citations and the Hirsch Index of publications.
