Satbayev University has signed agreements with leading universities in Canada

Satbayev University hosted a meeting with representatives of Canadian higher educational institutions as Thompson Rivers University, Ontario Tech University and Kwantlen Polytechnic University. During the visit, there was held a campus tour and were signed memorandums of cooperation with each university’s representatives.
The given agreements have become an important step towards creating the global educational space at the first Kazakh university, opening up new opportunities and experience for students and teachers within the framework of academic exchange. The guests discussed this possibility at the working meeting with the university administration.
To assess the possibilities of Satbayev University, the Canadian delegation, led by Canadian Embassy representative, Jurgita Rushkite, got acquainted with the university's laboratory complexes, Stroytech techno park, co-working spaces, library and student infrastructure.
The guests were greeted by Rector Meiram Begentayev, First Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development Samgat Yermekbayev also introduced the university's international achievements and answered the guests' questions in detail. Representatives of Canadian universities highly appreciated the infrastructure of Satbayev University and educational opportunities for their compatriots. The new agreements will strengthen Satbayev University's position as a leading center for international education in Kazakhstan and create even more prospects for the two countries’ students.
The given meeting is the result of the first visit that took place in November 2024, which was organized by “Ulytau Educational Foundation” public fund within the framework of the project “Ulytau Technical University” in Zhezkazgan”.
