Satbayev University held an environmental festival in support of "Taza Kazakhstan" initiatives

An environmental campaign was held at Satbayev University - "EcoRebellion Day: Trash into Trend". Students and teachers joined together to take part in creative performances and media events during the day.
The day began with "I came without a car!" campaign. The action participants came to the campus on bicycles, scooters or on foot, supporting the university's "Clean water, clean air" initiative and showing that everyone has a choice in favor of ecological transport, which helps to keep the air of the metropolis clean.
The main event of the day was "Trash into Trend" eco-challenge, during which student teams created art objects and fashionable clothes from the collected garbage. The best works will decorate the campus and be featured on social media. As a symbol of commitment to environmental initiatives, participants received eco-bracelets made at FabLab Satbayev University from recycled plastic.
The event became a part of "Taza Kazakhstan" presidential initiative, aimed at creating a culture of environmental responsibility in society. University has previously conducted a number of environmental activities in line with the given initiatives, such as clean-up campaigns and tree planting on campus.
Major scientific projects have also become an important part of Satbayev University's environmental agenda. Thus, University participates in joint projects to improve air quality in Almaty, purify water and reduce carbon emissions, combining the environmental actions with strategic scientific solutions to support environmental values and promote a sustainable lifestyle.
