Satbayev University is strengthening the international collaboration: Tyumen Region delegation visited the university

There was held a meeting at Satbayev University with the official delegation from Tyumen Region, which included representatives of Investment Policy Department, Innovation Agency and “Oil-Gas Cluster” Association. The meeting was aimed at developing the scientific and technological cooperation, exchanging the experience and finding new opportunities for joint projects.

Tyumen Region borders directly on Kazakhstan and has strong ties with the Asian region. The region has a well-developed oil and gas industry, which makes the traditional areas of work of Satbayev University in demand in executing the technological projects in the region, contributing to its further evolvement.

During the meeting, University's management, headed by Rector Meiram Begentayev, discussed with their Russian colleagues the prospects for partnership in the oil and gas industry, innovative technologies and entrepreneurship support.

Alexander Gorlatov, Deputy Director of Department of Investment Policy and State Support for Entrepreneurship in Tyumen Region, and his colleagues presented their plans for developing the region's technology cluster, including a new university cluster. They offered to participate in current and future innovative projects, emphasizing that one of the most important goals of the planned cooperation is to train future engineers on real-world tasks that will help them integrate into production.

The given visit was an important step in strengthening Satbayev University's international relations and opens up new prospects for implementing the joint scientific and educational initiatives.
