Satbayev University veterans have congratulated their colleagues on Victory Day and wished them new achievements

Today, Satbayev University veterans have congratulated their young colleagues and students on Victory Day, inspiring them to new achievements. Special words on this day come from Nadezhda Niretina, a specialist in Satbayev University Historical Museum and a person, who explores Satbayev’s life and works, the author of a poem dedicated to veterans and academics with whom she’d worked side by side for many years.
"I have three portraits at home. One is for my dad, who died in the war on February 23, 1942, near Moscow in the village of Kholm, where a months-long bloody battle for Moscow was taking place," says Nadezhda Vassilyevna. “The second portrait is my uncle's, and the third one is my father-in-law's. They were declared as missing during the war but they are always in my heart!"
In her lines, Nadezhda Vassilyevna addresses her peers, emphasizing that for her they will forever remain young, strong in spirit and dear to her heart. We believe that the youth of Satbayev University will preserve the continuity of generations, will worthily continue the traditions of patriotism and dedication, both in science and in life!

Dedicated to veteran-scientists, members of Sciences Academy.
You are my old people, old people,
For me you are always young!
You were born in those troubled years
You know so much, you've seen it,
You've crossed the River of life more than once,
And great life events brought
More grief than happiness.
Revolutions, wars, devastation and famine - everything is familiar to you from childhood, not in words.
Where did you get the strength?
Neither the hungry years, nor storms, nor thunderstorms could break you, bend you.
We need you for another 30 years,
Like a memory between what was and what is,
Like a clean spring that gives us a drink in a drought.
We should all be grateful to you for our peaceful life!
After all, you are soldiers, and you must remain them
To the last drop of blood, to the last, to the end, and defend today.
Let there be another time - there can be no end to honor and dignity.
And let the heart beat desperately,
The Soul, as before, rushes to heaven.
And how much peace and kindness you have brought
May everything come back to you in full!
I pledge a toast to your generation, and I apologize for the young.
And don't let anyone bring you to your knees,
Stay fighters forever, I pray.
