Signing the cooperation agreement between Satbayev University and LocoSystems KZ

On October 31, 2025, the cooperation agreement was signed between Satbayev University and LocoSystems KZ to establish Competence Center for production and development of brake equipment technologies for railway rolling stock.

Center’s purpose is to increase the efficiency, quality and technological level of making the brake system components in Kazakhstan, as well as the introduction of modern engineering solutions in the railway industry. At the first stage, activities will focus on the production, repair and maintenance of brake pads for locomotives.

In the future, Center will become the country's largest platform for evolving the competencies in the field of pneumatic and braking systems, including node design, testing, implementation of innovative technologies and training of highly qualified engineering personnel. Particular attention will be paid to the growth of areas related to digital diagnostics and improving the train safety.

Project is being implemented in cooperation with Satbayev University, the leading technical university of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which ensures the integration of scientific potential, degree programs and industrial production within the single technological ecosystem. Center will actively develop its research base and international partnerships.

Center has been scheduled to open in spring 2026. Products and solutions being developed will comply with the technical regulations requirements of Customs Union "On the safety of railway rolling stock" (TR CU 001/2011) and international standards.
