"Silver University" and the French delegation discussed the development of universities of the third age in Kazakhstan and the international advancement of KASU

On September 18, 2025, at Satbayev University, within the framework of the "Silver University" project established under the Institute of Automation and Information Technology (IAIIT) at Satbayev University, an official meeting was held with a delegation from France led by the President of the International Association of Universities of the Third Age (AIUTA), Francois Vellas. The delegation also included AIUTA Board member Janka Seber Hladekka.

At the beginning of the visit, the guests toured the K.I. Satbayev Museum and the university’s modern laboratories, where they learned about the history and scientific achievements of the institution.

The meeting brought together professors and students of Satbayev University, as well as representatives of Sh. Ualikhanov Kokshetau University. The parties discussed the development of educational programs for senior citizens, international exchange of experience, and prospects for implementing joint projects. Special attention was paid to the advancement of the Kazakhstan Association of Silver Universities (KASU) and Kazakhstan’s "Silver Universities" to the international level within the framework of cooperation with AIUTA.

This meeting became an important step toward strengthening international partnership and promoting education for senior citizens in Kazakhstan.
