SU Coding Cup 2025 — An Olympiad that Unites Regions and Opens the Future

The SU Coding Cup 2025 took place at Satbayev University — an open competitive programming olympiad for schoolchildren and a team competition for university students.

The SU Coding Cup 2025 is not just a competition but a unique platform that brings together talents from all over the country. The school stage of the olympiad involved 249 young programmers from 19 regions of Kazakhstan — from small villages to large cities. In the final, 29 of the strongest participants competed for victory in three categories: rural schools, urban schools, and megacities.

Participants demonstrated excellent knowledge of algorithms, quick thinking, and the ability to solve complex problems under time pressure. The winners were awarded I, II, and III degree diplomas, cash prizes up to 100,000 tenge, as well as memorable gifts from the university and sponsors. The main prize was rector’s grants for studying at Satbayev University, opening doors to the world of high technologies.

At the same time, a student tournament was held, in which 30 teams from leading universities in Almaty competed for the SU Coding Cup 2025. The winner was the team from KBTU, who received the grand prize of 120,000 tenge.

The SU Coding Cup olympiad breaks down boundaries for talented young people in Kazakhstan, giving them the opportunity to show their abilities, demonstrate their knowledge, and take a step toward a successful IT future. Such events help raise a new generation of programmers who will develop Kazakhstan’s digital technologies and make an impact on the global stage.

This year, the tournament was supported by the general sponsors: the company UMAG (store automation) and the platform Zapis.kz (online appointment scheduling).
