The acceptance of documents for studying under the academic mobility program for undergraduate and master degree students in Germany is open
Ulm University of Applied Science (THU) announces the admission of undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students under the academic mobility program for the spring semester 2024-2025 at its own expense.
Ulm University of Applied Sciences (HU) has about 3.000 students and offers majors in the fields of engineering, computer technology, business and media. Modern mobility, digital technology, medical engineering, sustainable energy systems and intelligent industrial systems, students will find independent and creative answers to current societal and technological issues. Degree courses have a practical and personal focus. Practical course components, practical semesters and theses in cooperation with renowned companies from the region enable a perfect combination of theory and practice.
IEP-program – 3 month-programs:
- IEEP International Electrical Engineering Program (spring term only)
- ICEP International Computer Engineering Program (spring term only)
- IMEP International Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering Program (fall term only)
Semester programs for exchange students taught in English:
- SPEEC - Semester program in Energy Economics
- SPiB - Semester program in Business
- SPDM - Semester program in Digital Media taught in English/German

Financial conditions:
- Free tuition,
- THU will try to provide housing in a student dormitory for exchange students considering the wishes, mentioned in the housing request form. However, the situation in Ulm has become very difficult and we can not guarantee fo find housing for all students. Housing prices range in the dormitory is approx. €350-450 per month (security deposit of €300) per room.
- Every student has to pay a registration fee of approx. €70 to the association of student affairs to get the student ID card,
- For living expenses, students should calculate a minimum of € 1000,--/month. Students from NonEuropean countries who have to apply for a residence permit in Germany will have to prove financial means of €934/month.
- The costs of the visa fee, medical insurance (€130 per month) are paid at the expense of the student.
