The International Center for Field Analysis and Development was opened at Satbayev University

On July 26, the opening of the International Center for Field Analysis and Development took place in Almaty. An agreement to establish the center was signed between Baker Hughes, a General Electric Company (hereinafter referred to as BHGE) and Satbayev University.

The parties intend to develop innovative projects jointly using advanced technologies for the entire oil and gas sector of Kazakhstan. In addition, within the framework of the signed agreements, the future plans include a collaborative work oriented to the exploration and production of coal methane, where Satbayev University and Arcelor Mittal Temirtau joint venture is currently working.

The combining of material, technical and research base, deep expertise and international experience of BHGE and Satbayev University will contribute to the development of energetics, oil and gas industry, and also exploration and production of coal methane in Kazakhstan. The center will prepare a new generation of engineers and carry out scientific-research projects in accordance with the         “Natural Resources Code”, which           came into operation on June 29, 2018.

The material and technical base of the center will allow students to conduct research and design work based on the experience of global companies. In the center there will be created a knowledge base, which each specialist will be able to use.
