The JICA 2026 is now accepting applications

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) is now accepting applications for the Knowledge Co-Creation Program for Long-Term Participants: "Green Transformation: Human Resource Development for the Energy Sector."

In accordance with the program's content, candidates will be selected from universities. These candidates must be promising scientists from Kazakhstan who are expected to contribute to the energy transition toward carbon neutrality.

Applicants may select universities from the attached list, provided they pass the entrance examinations at their chosen universities (the list of universities is available at the International Cooperation Office). Research topics should address issues that contribute to the implementation of public policy in the area of ​​green transformation, such as energy transition policy, models for economic analysis of energy supply and demand, business management of electric power companies, and next-generation decarbonization technologies.

Program Period:

For Master's students: September 2026 – March 2029,

For Doctoral students: September 2026 – March 2030.
