The new two-degree program in business engineering will open up global opportunities for students
Satbayev University hosted a meeting with representatives of Shandong University of Science and Technology, dedicated to strengthening the international cooperation and creating new opportunities for students. Yerkebulan Kurymbai, deputy head of International Cooperation Office, and Nazym Zhunusbekova, deputy director of Project Management Institute, met with the director Fan and his team to discuss the launch of the two-degree program in Business Engineering, which will allow students to gain foreign academic experience and increase their professional competitiveness.
During the meeting, the conditions for launching the degree program were discussed in detail, including the academic structure, requirements for students and the prospects for obtaining a double degree. Particular attention was paid to practice-oriented learning and the integration of international educational standards. After discussing future cooperation, Chinese university representatives met with students interested in admission, where they spoke in detail about the study and accommodation conditions, as well as opportunities to participate in the summer school, which expands academic mobility and practice-oriented learning trajectories.
The initiative to create the new two-degree program is aimed at increasing the access to quality education and developing international academic ties, which is consistent with Sustainable Development Goal 4 - quality education. Through the program implementation, students gain access to modern educational practices, expand their professional horizons and strengthen their competitiveness in the global labor market.
At the same time, evolving the partnership between universities reflects the principles of Sustainable Development Goal 17 – Partnership for sustainable development. Strengthening the cooperation promotes knowledge exchange, integration of scientific and educational approaches, and the formation of a sustainable base for training specialists capable of contributing to the socio-economic growth of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.
