The rectors are appointed in four of the six state universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan
At the meeting of republican competitive commission under the chair of Dariga Nazarbayeva, were elected the rectors of four state universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
11 candidates from 45 aspired to the position of rectors for six state universities.
Based on the results of interviews and discussion the development programs for universities, the following candidates are recommended for rectors: Aktobe Regional State University after K. Zhubanov - Bauyrzhan Yerdembekov, Karaganda State Industrial University - Bakhyt Zhautikov, North Kazakhstan State University after M. Kozybayev - Serik Omirbayev and Taraz State Pedagogical Institute - Dariyakul Kozhamzharova.
The competition of Caspian State University of Technology and Engineering after Sh. Yesenov and Taraz State University after M. Kh. Dulati was declared invalid and the Ministry of Education and Science was recommended to hold the competition again.
