There has started the acceptance of applications to Military Affairs Institute for training in the programs of reserve officers and sergeants
On October 3, 2024, Military Affairs Institute began accepting the applications for participation in the competitive selection for training programs for reserve officers and sergeants.
Opening hours of Admission Committee: from 9.00 to 16.30 daily. Saturday and Sunday are days off. Lunch break is from 12.30 to 13.30.

Applications are accepted from students of KazNRTU, KBTU, AUEC, METU, ATU, ETU, KIMEP, TURAN, who have citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan, not older than 24 years for the year of the competition. Girls are trained only according to the reserve officer training program.
Reserve Sergeants Program
- Duration of the training is 1 year.
- 1st and 2nd year students (programs with 4 years of study), 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students (programs with 5 years of study) are accepted.
Reserve Officers Program
- The duration of the training is 2 years.
- Students of the 2nd year (programs with 4 years of study), 2nd and 3rd year (programs with 5 years of study) are accepted.
Competitive selection is carried out in four stages:
Stage 1 - medical examination, the deadline for submitting the medical examination card is October 11, 2024.
To undergo a medical examination, you must arrive at Admissions office, submit an application, provide the necessary documents, receive a medical card and a referral for a medical examination.
Required documents:
- Identity card (original and copy).
- Photos in the size of 3x4 – 2 (two) pcs
- Certificate of student's education at the university, indicating the faculty and specialty.
A medical examination must be carried out at Department of Defense Affairs at the place of military registration (nonresident students must register for military service at the place of temporary registration). Students who have submitted completed medical examination cards to Admissions Committee are admitted to the next stages of the competitive selection.
Stages 2, 3 and 4 are competitive selection, held from October 14 to October 30, 2024 according to the schedule posted on the information board of Military Affairs Institute and on the website of Satbayev University on October 11, 2024.
- Stage 2 - conducting the professional psychological testing.
- Stage 3 - physical fitness check.
- Stage 4 - a competitive selection carried out in accordance with calculating the rating score.
Passing each stage of the competition is allowed once.

The study cost at Military Affairs Institute
The training of students under the reserve officer training program of KazNRTU, KBTU, AUEC, METU, ATU, ETU, KIMEP, TURAN students studying on the fee basis, as well as the training of all students under the reserve sergeants training program is carried out only on the fee basis.
For KazNRTU students under the reserve officers training program (who did not apply for a grant), as well as students under the reserve sergeants training program are trained on the fee basis and amount to 395,000 (three hundred and ninety-five thousand) tenge per year.
For students of KBTU, AUEC, METU, ATU, ETU, KIMEP, TURAN universities under the reserve officers training program, as well as training of all students under the reserve sergeants training program is carried out only on the fee basis and amounts to 415,000 (four hundred fifteen thousand) tenge per year.
