There were held the obotics competitions among schoolchildren at Satbayev University
Satbayev University hosted robotics competitions among students in grades 4-8. They were attended by students who are passionate about engineering, programming and modern technologies. During the competition, students worked with robots, performed practical tasks and demonstrated logical thinking and teamwork skills as well.
Malis Absametov, a graduate of Satbayev University, professor, State prize winner, and academician, addressed the participants with the welcoming speech, wishing the students good luck and emphasizing the significance of their chosen field. "Today you are taking the first steps in the world of technology, which tomorrow will determine the evolvement of the entire society. Robots are not just technology, they are the future, and it is up to you to create it," he said.
Within the contest, participants worked in teams, assembled and programmed robots, adapting them to perform specific tasks – from passing trails to precise maneuvers and solving the engineering cases. Following the competition results, the winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas and memorable prizes, as well as gained irreplaceable experience in the robotics sphere.
Holding such competitions at Satbayev University promotes the early involvement of schoolchildren in the engineering environment, the development of interest in science and technology, as well as the formation of a future talent pool for high-tech industries in Kazakhstan. University will continue to support initiatives aimed at developing STEM education and popularizing engineering professions among young people.
