We invite you to participate in a VR competition for studying the operation of a lathe machine in a digital environment

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Energy and Mechanical Engineering invites you to participate in a VR competition among college students from Almaty city and Almaty region focused on studying the structure and operation of a lathe machine in a digital environment! This is a great opportunity to showcase your talents and skills in engineering, technical creativity, working with industrial equipment, and digital technologies (VR, simulations).

The competition is open to all college students interested in working with industrial equipment and digital technologies. The task is to perform commissioning and adjustment, as well as manufacture a part on a lathe machine in a digital environment. The project must be original and have practical application.

• Commissioning and adjustment, and part manufacturing on the DMG DMU 50 machine using VR headsets;
• Commissioning and adjustment, and part manufacturing on the DMG CTX 510 machine using VR headsets;
• Selection of winners.

The winners will be selected based on the evaluation of a jury consisting of professionals in the field of engineering.

The competition will be held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IMS building, room 207. The competition starts at 10:00 AM.
