Competition for grant financing of the most promising projects for commercialization of the results of scientific and (or) scientific-technical activity (RSSTA).

The annual RSSTA competition, initiated by the Science Foundation of Kazakhstan, is aimed at identifying and supporting the best scientific and scientific-technical developments. All state (accredited) universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan take part in the competition.

Competence Centers

The MSC I program is aimed at stimulating cooperation between research institutes, universities, as well as science and engineering laboratories in Kazakhstan, and enterprises to improve the productive sectors in the economy through the provision of grants for the establishment of competence centers in the field of artificial intelligence development.

Maximum grant amount - 2,000,000,000,000 (two billion) tenge
Co-financing - not less than 10% of the grant amount
Implementation period - 18 months

Option 1

  • Applicant - scientific organization/HEI (resident of Kazakhstan)
  • One (1) or more international centers of excellence (from QS Top 300 list for HEIs, and SCIMAGO Innovation Ranking Top 2000 for science centers);
  • One (1) or more manufacturing enterprises (resident of Kazakhstan);
  • One (1) or more foreign manufacturing enterprises;
