Announcement of the 3rd Mobile Photography Contest “Through the Lens – My World!” of the Silver University

Satbayev University invites everyone to take part in the mobile photography contest “Through the Lens – My World!” organized within the framework of the Center for Active Longevity (CAL). The contest will be held from February 2 to April 30, 2026 and is organized by Satbayev University in cooperation with the Almaty City CAD.

Representatives of the silver age (55+) and golden age (80+) are welcome to participate.

The annual photo contest “Through the Lens – My World!” brings together authors with a common idea — to tell inspiring stories and share vivid impressions of people of the silver age through photography.

The contest accepts photographs that promote:

a healthy lifestyle,
the beauty of the surrounding world,
visual storytelling expressed through photography.

Photos taken no more than 3 years ago using a mobile phone are accepted. All submitted works must be original photographs taken by the participant. The photos must comply with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Photo editing is allowed, except for the use of artificial intelligence–based tools (including Midjourney, DALL·E, Photoshop AI, Remini, Topaz, etc.).

Contest Categories:

Life in the Frame (family, children and grandchildren, friends);
A Moment of Emotion (reportage, street photography, sports photography);
Silver Horizons (still life, nature, architecture of one’s hometown or country, travel photography);
Face the Challenge (creative reflection and in-depth exploration of social, environmental, and cultural issues facing modern Kazakhstani society).
