At Satbayev University Military Affairs Institute, there was held a seminar on applying “Geotactics” program in the training of artilleries

Satbayev University Military Affairs Institute hosted a scientific and methodological seminar on using “Geotactics” virtual warfare program in the training of young artilleries. It was attended by teachers of Military Institute of RK AF Ground Forces, representatives of Military Affairs Institute, as well as program developers from “Finist” company.

“Geotactics” is a multiplayer simulator designed to teach intelligence skills, conduct artillery fire, work with topographic plans and maps, or conduct tactical training in a virtual environment. The simulator allows you to imitate various situations, improving the quality of training for military specialists, and is widely used at Satbayev University.

Military Affairs Institute’ s teachers shared their experience with colleagues and talked about how “Geotactics” helps future officers master academic disciplines, helps to digitalize the educational process and introduce innovative technologies into cadet training. Reports were presented on the practical application of the program, including performing the firing tasks using UAVs, aiming artillery guns and using the built-in artillery directory.

After the discussion, the participants held a practical lesson, where they tested the program in action, simulating the combat missions. Following the seminar results, the experts agreed that “Geotactics” makes training more visual, helps to save the motor resources of military equipment and increases the digital literacy of cadets. They also noted the need for further cooperation with the developers in order to further improve the program, adapting it to modern combat conditions.
