At Satbayev University there was made a decision on creating the pool of eco-volunteers who will represent Satbayev University in environmental initiatives

A lecture by renowned eco-activist Yevgeny Mukhamedzhanov was held at Satbayev University, organized by Project Office for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and “SU Volunteers” volunteer movement.
Yevgeny Mukhamedzhanov spoke about the key environmental challenges that are being faced by Kazakhstan and shared examples of successful initiatives implemented both at the global and local levels. He noted that many companies are already actively implementing the sustainable practices, and volunteers play an important role in promoting the environmental agenda.
Special attention was paid to opportunities for volunteers. The participants learned how environmental projects can help launch a career in business, NGOs or international organizations. Yevgeny said that volunteers can become a link between business and environmental projects and stressed that volunteering opens up access to internships, international programs and even double-degree education.
Following the meeting, it was decided to create a pool of eco-volunteers who will represent Satbayev University in environmental initiatives. This will be an important step in developing the sustainable practices and involving young people in solving the environmental problems.
