City University of Hong Kong dual degree programs have begun at Satbayev University

The eagerly awaited Satbayev University program has started - the first meeting was held at the university with 1st-year students and undergraduates of City University of Hong Kong branch. University’s Rector Meiram Begentayev, Vice-rector for Academic Affairs Raissa Uskenbayeva and First Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Strategic Development Samgat Yermekbayev met with the students.

Main purpose of the meeting was to open up the prospects of study and career development for students. University management emphasized that the dual degree program offers unique opportunities - combining the fundamental engineering school of Satbayev University with the innovative methods of City University of Hong Kong.

At the end of the meeting, there was held question and answer session, during which the leaders shared with students the significant information and their vision of the future of education, which will begin at the first Technical University of Kazakhstan and continue at CityUHK in two years, where students will be able to acquire a global vision, evolve intercultural competencies and significantly expand their career prospects. Students in the dual degree program will study entirely in English in the following key areas:

• Computer Science (AI);
• Civil Engineering;
• Material Science.
